Which makes it interesting to take stock at the beginning of a new year to see which posts were the most popular overall and compare these to the ones we thought were the best. It turns out that personal preference is rarely a reliable indicator of popularity.
To demonstrate this point, Dave, Lyn and I are taking this opportunity to review our blog stats and find out which posts were the most viewed, the most commented and also list our personal favorite posts.
Lessons learned:
- People like trends, lists and carnivals.
- Sometimes you strike a chord.
- Sometimes you don't.
- That's all I've got.

I'm into these Sunday posts. I've just spend a pleasant hour surfing through Laura's posts, jumping to Dave's or other external blogs mentioned. Makes me appreciate you all even more. Or it just feeds my HR blog addiction? Either way- great stuff.

Thanks, guys, I can always count on you. Of course, many of these posts are from my early Blue Period. I'm not sure how they'd turn out if I tried to write them again today. Similar conclusions, different approach, I expect. That's what's so neat about looking back...
